Billing & Insurance


Sometimes medical billing is confusing. We hope the following information will ease the confusion and help create an easier billing process.


Your Insurance

After your appointment at Westchase Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, we will submit a bill (also called a claim) to your insurance company, if you have insurance. This bill will list the services we provided to you. Your insurance will use the information in the bill to pay us for those services.


When the insurance company pays us, they may send you a report called an Explanation of Benefits, or EOB. The EOB shows what your insurance company did and did not pay for and why. An EOB is not a bill.


Your Statement from Us

If you have insurance, you may receive a statement that shows how much we billed your insurance company. You do not need to pay the amounts listed at that time.


You will need to pay any balance due after your insurance company pays us.
